(Where I share the best thing I ate in the previous week)
I am a FAN of brunch.
In actuality, I would like to knight myself President of the Breakfast-is-the-Best-Meal-of-the-Day Fan Club. But when you wake up late slash don’t want to get out of bed, brunch is just a perfectly fine option.
For the past few weeks, I have been eyeing the brunch menu at Oddfellows Cafe. It’s right next to Elliott Bay Book Co., so with breakfast and books, it’s essentially my idea of a perfect morning.
In addition to the brioche french toast (a huge slice with marscapone and fruit compote), we ordered the beignets.
Deep-fried dough with a mountain of powdered sugar that sticks to every inch of your face? Yes, please.
Loved the restaurant, loved the food, and counting the numberĀ of acceptable days until I can return and not seem like an Oddfellows groupie.
Runner-up: Mexican Chocolate shake from Mora Iced Creamery.
